Tip #1: Establish Yourself as a Local Celebrity

Now that you have watched the video, let's recap on a few things that have been discussed.  When establishing yourself as a local celebrity, it is essential that you have the confidence to know that people want to know who you are, and what you stand for!  Once that has been put into motion the next few items will flow nicely:

1. Press Release: A press release is paramount to letting your local, regional, and state media know who you are. Your press release tells people who you are, the title you have won, what you stand for (platform), and how to contact you.   Once the press release has been written you will need to distribute it to you media in your area.

2. Business Cards are paramount to getting your name floating in the community.  Putting your headshot on the front of  your card is a great strategy, because people are less likely to throw away a picture, but they WILL throw away a regular business card which is nothing more than paper with information on it.

3. Autograph Cards: Are a necessity because people love to have a lasting momento of meeting pageant queens.  Autograph cards are also great because they allow you to add a great deal of information about yourself and what you stand for.
